Dear Coaches, Team Managers/Admins:

We appreciate your patience, affording us the opportunity to spend the past few days to review, assess all factors regarding an event of this size (430+ teams).

This included:

• Contact, Communications with each Municipality/School District/Venue-Facility Operator of fields confirmed/scheduled for use in this event
• Physical examination of many of these fifteen (15) sites, post the recent LI Blizzard (snow bomb disturbance, 2/22-23), as well as the additional snow accumulations from Wed, 2/25
• Research of weather models & extended forecasts for the next 10-day period

Upon reviewing all factors, we have made the most difficult decision to cancel the Spring Kickoff Cup '26 in its entirety for the weekend of March 7/8th. The event will not be rescheduled.

As you have come to expect from our MSC Tournament Event Series, we do not feel that a complete, safe and optimum event experience could be provided for all age groups, teams and players, coaches, and spectators alike.

We know that you and your player-families have been anxious to receive an update on the event and wanted to get this out as soon as this decision was made. Over the next few days, we will be in contact with all teams, regardless of specific team event status (accepted, applied/pending or wait listed) with further information, next steps.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON SPRING KICKOFF CUP '26 * ACCEPTED TEAMS

Dear Club Admin, Coach or Team Manager:

 

We appreciate your patience in giving us the past few days to review all aspects of our planned event, before providing further information and next steps.

 

As a team which had been formally accepted into our Spring Kickoff Cup '26, and was subsequently billed/charged the age applicable team event registration fee, we wish to advise you of the following:

 

• ALL Accepted & Billed Teams Will Be FULLY Refunded Their Paid Event Registration Fee

• ALL Accepted & Billed Teams - Who Purchased the Available Insurance Option - Will Be FULLY Refunded Their Paid Event Registration Fee and Will Also Be Eligible for a $80.00 Voucher to Offset the Cost of the Insurance Premium paid (details will be sent separately to these teams) 

We anticipate processing all of the applicable refunds by Monday, March 9th.

 

The Massapequa SC Tournament Event Series (TES) stands as an inclusive provider of high-quality tournaments and events, proudly providing these services to clubs and teams of, and at, all levels of play. Our continued ability to do so is contingent upon the on-going support by all clubs and teams which chose to attend our events throughout the course of the seasonal year.

 

We greatly appreciate your support of the SKC event - which has grown to become the largest single-weekend, pre-season event in the Greater Long Island area. We look forward to seeing you at another of our events, and welcoming your team back to SKC '27 next year.
