Starting with the 2026 - 2027 season US Soccer, national governing authority of all related soccer activities in the United States - youth, adult, amateur, semi-pro, professional as well as all US Men's & Women's National Teams - will transition to a seasonal-year age group formation cycle.

Age Group formation will now shift from the present current calendar year (January - December) system to one determining age groups ("U" designation) based upon player birth dates from August 1 to July 31. US Soccer will now return to this format, following the previous directive to youth organizations to move away from seasonal-year to follow calendar year in 2016.

This change is being implemented nationwide effective 8/1/26, and as a US Soccer affiliated club, Massapequa SC will adopt and follow this change for all Fall '26 club programs & activities and related registrations.
